Dear Colleagues,

There is still time to register for the forthcoming meeting on decision making, ISAHP 2009 (International Symposium on the Analytic Hierarchy Process)!

Please join us at this landmark event. We have well over a hundred attendees coming from all over the world. We will be putting a detailed schedule up on the web site very soon including information about the convenient transportation to the meeting.

Register at: www.isahp.org.

Main Sessions July 29 – August 1; free ANP workshop July 28

It is not too late to register to attend the seminar. Pittsburgh, and in particular the area around the University of Pittsburgh, is a beautiful place with many convenient sights and attractions. The Gala Dinner will be a boat cruise dinner on the 3 rivers of Pittsburgh. Pittsburgh is becoming city of world interest with the G20 Economic Summit being hosted here in September. And Pittsburgh is famous in the US for being the home of the 2009 Champion Steeler Football team and the 2009 Champion Penguins Hockey Team. We realize it is summer and about our baseball team, The Pirates, oh, well…

We have received a wide variety of interesting papers from 29 countries in these areas:

  • Conflict Resolution
  • Environmental Applications
  • General Resource Allocation & Optimization

    • AHP University – a new online home for AHP papers and activities
    • The AHP in Wikipedia – the substantial development and the hopes to translate the work on the English language Wikipedia to other languages.
      • Presentations of new AHP software that enables people to work together on the web.

Prizes will be given. Here are some of them:

*Best paper at the conference
*Best paper from a student who received their PhD in the last two year *Person who travelled the longest distance to be here (a tough competition this year)

Everyone is invited to the home of Thomas and Rozann Saaty on Saturday evening for a dinner. The house is 15 minutes walking distance from the meeting location and there is also a direct public bus if the weather proves too hot to walk.
